2025 was a good year for the WHO. We welcomed some new members—Kathy, Jen, Tim,  Christopher. Our monthly meetings covered a variety of brewing topics and activities, such as enzymes and mashing techniques, brewing with AI, and troubleshooting keg issues.

Our third annual Last Brewer Standing challenge consisted of multiple rounds focusing on different styles such as pale ales, browns, wild ales, and brews of SRM 40+. It culminated in an invitational round that became a coffee vs. tea showdown. We also held specialized events like the IPA Smackdown in June, a Mystery Bottle Swap in September, an outing to some Brooklyn-based breweries in November, as well as participating in Captain Lawrence’s second annual Fun in the Fall Festival.

In the fall, we elected some new members to our board which now consists of:

• Treasurer – Pat Byrne
• Member at Large – Cesar Millan
• Member at Large – Nate Rankin
• Member at Large – TJ Markey

And finally, at our year end celebration in December, we raised our glasses to a successful year, toasted Steven & Cesar as the Last Brewer(s) Standing for 2025 and even had a little holiday poetry fun.
